Our company is located on nine acres. We have over a hundred thousand square feet under roof with large open spaces for handling and storing materials.
Bldg 2 is our large structural building. It is 75'x420' with a 5-ton crane, a 10-ton crane and a 20-ton crane. It houses our cambering mashine, which has a30" capacity. It also has a truck well for loading and a coloumn-pit.
Bldg 3 is our small structural building. It is 40'x420' with three 2-ton cranes.
Bldg 5 is our prep building. It is 60'x520' with three 5-ton cranes and a saw with 33" capability.We saw-cut all our wideflange, tubing, pipe and channel material, eliminating the need for grinding.
Bldg 1 is our ornamental facility. It is 60'x360' with three 3-ton cranes,two high-speed cold saws and eight railing tables giving us the ability to mass produce railings and fences in large quantities.
All three buildings have natural gas,oxygen,compressed air and water piped in throughout
10,000square feet of shop offices provide space for the handling of numerous plans, the coordination of jobs, quality control and the inspection team.
Quality Assurance
To insure the highest quality of workmanship, all products fabricated by Cal-State Steel Corp., follow a strict conformance to the AISC (American Institute of Stell Construction) "code of standard practice."
The materials used for fabrication are a critical factor in determining the quality of the final product. All materials used are tested, certified and identified by their accompanying test reports from the manufacturer prior to fabrication as required by the AISC "code of standard practice."
Cal-State Steel Corp. is an L.A. City licensed "Type I Fabricator" license No. 874. As an approved "L.A. City Licensed Fabricator" the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety has approved Cal-State Steel Corp. for welding fabrication of Unlimited Weight Steel (USS), High Strength Steel (HSS) and Rebar (RB). The City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety has approved our quality control and inspection team to monitor the fabrication and welding of these materials in our Compton facility.
All welding and fabrication in the field is done in strict conformance to the AISC "code of standard practice". Our field welders have current AWS (American Welding Society) and L.A. City welding certifications.
